AXENIS S.A.S in a spin-off from the Institut Pasteur (Paris, France). It was founded in 2010 as a contract research organization that uses state-of-the-art humanized mouse models to study human immune responses. In July 2013, the Institut Pasteur became a shareholder of the company.
